For some people, glasses are purely practical — something you have to wear. But for me, they’ve always been something I want to wear. That mindset started early.
At just eight years old, I was diagnosed as short-sighted. Like many kids, I couldn’t see objects clearly unless they were right in front of me. My very first visit to Fairbairn Opticians left a lasting impression. With help from our wonderful optical assistant Marie, I picked out bold red metal frames with gold sides. Not your average choice for an eight-year-old in the late ’80s, but I’ve always chosen glasses that make me feel like me.
Today, that same love of eyewear is still with me. As the General Manager at Fairbairn Opticians and Hearing Care, I help others find their perfect pair — one that’s not just functional, but personal. I believe your glasses should be your signature accessory.
