Caitríona Loughran, owner of five-star salon Scissors in Newry, shares her journey from trainee stylist to established businesswoman and explains how she has grown one of the city’s busiest salons over the past 20 years.

“It was a huge challenge,” Caitríona recalls. “But it gave me valuable lessons in business and in life. I was young, but I knew this was where I wanted to be.”
More than two decades later, Scissors has become a trusted name in Newry’s hairdressing scene. Caitríona credits much of the salon’s success to her passion for people:
