PRINCIPAL OF THE YEAR – PRIMARY

This award will recognise the principal’s overall effectiveness, leadership and impact
on the school community illustrating their drive towards not just academic success
but also a positive, inclusive and innovative learning environment.

We are looking for stories that demonstrate the positive impact the principal has
made. Addressing the key points provided, tell us in your entry (less than 500

    resources to enhance teaching effectiveness.

    with all stakeholders, fostering a collaborative culture among teachers, staff and the
    broader community while managing disagreements constructively to maintain a
    positive school climate.
  4. Management and Operational Excellence: The winner of this category will oversee
    school operations, resource allocation and scheduling, while responding effectively
    to emergencies and unforeseen challenges. They will also demonstrate fiscal
    responsibility in managing the school budget with accountability and strategic
    foresight.
  5. Community Engagement and Stakeholder Relationships: The award seeks
    principals who cultivate strong relationships with parents and wider community
    leaders to advocate for the school, securing resources and support for educational
    initiatives which will promote a welcoming, diverse and respectful school culture.
  6. Professionalism and Ethical Conduct: The principal will be someone of utmost
    integrity demonstrating high ethical standards and exemplary behaviour. They will
    take responsibility for school outcomes and foster a culture of accountability while
    demonstrating commitment to personal growth and encouraging a culture of ongoing
    professional development.
