Introducing the Solasta Perimenopause & Menopause Clinic
Solasta Healthcare is delighted to introduce a new dedicated Perimenopause & Menopause Clinic, providing specialist, compassionate care for women navigating this important stage of life.

Hormonal changes during midlife can affect physical health, emotional wellbeing and day-to-day quality of life. Many women experience symptoms for several years before menopause, often without clear guidance or support.

At Solasta, our aim is to ensure women feel informed, supported and confident in managing these changes through expert, evidence-based care.

Meet Dr Linda Kelly

Dr Linda Kelly has worked as a full-time GP for more than 26 years in a busy inner-city practice in Belfast. She has extensive experience in women’s health and has also worked as an undergraduate tutor at Queen’s University Belfast Medical School, supporting the education of future doctors.

Dr Kelly is passionate about helping women navigate perimenopause and menopause. She believes that understanding the hormonal changes taking place can empower women to make confident, informed decisions about their health.

She has undertaken advanced menopause training through the British Menopause Society and holds the BMS Certificate in the Principles and Practice of Menopause Care. Her clinical approach focuses on improving quality of life, supporting long-term health and reducing the risks associated with untreated menopause symptoms.

Understanding Perimenopause and Menopause

Perimenopause is the transition phase before menopause, when hormone levels begin to fluctuate. It can start several years before periods stop completely, and symptoms may occur even while cycles remain regular.

Every woman’s experience is different, and symptoms can vary significantly.

Common symptoms include:

  • Hot flushes and night sweats
  • Sleep disturbance
  • Mood changes
  • Brain fog
  • Joint pain
  • Vaginal dryness
  • Reduced libido
  • Anxiety
  • Irregular periods

Menopause
Menopause is diagnosed when periods have stopped for 12 consecutive months. In the UK, the average age of menopause is around 51, although symptoms often begin earlier during perimenopause.

As hormone levels, particularly oestrogen, decline, many areas of health and wellbeing can be affected.

The Solasta Menopause Clinic

The Solasta Menopause Clinic provides specialist, evidence-based care tailored to each woman’s individual needs.

Our services include:

  • Personalised perimenopause and menopause consultations
  • Individualised HRT treatment plans
  • Testosterone therapy where appropriate
  • Lifestyle and wellbeing advice

At Solasta, we focus on body-identical hormone therapy, typically delivered through the skin using patches, gels or sprays (transdermal therapy). These treatments are generally well tolerated and are often considered safer than tablet forms.

Our goal is to help women feel healthier, more confident and better supported through every stage of the menopause transition.

Supporting Women Through Every Stage

Perimenopause and menopause are natural stages of life, but they should not be endured without support. With the right guidance and treatment, women can maintain their wellbeing, confidence and long-term health.

The Solasta Perimenopause & Menopause Clinic provides a dedicated space where women can access specialist advice, discuss symptoms openly and receive personalised care.
