Join the Dance Family: Newry and Blackrock Dance Theatre Arts Celebrate Success and Welcome New Members
Newry Dance Theatre Arts, in partnership with Co Louth Dance School, is making waves across the Irish dance scene. After a standout performance at the Global Dance Open Championships Ireland Qualifier in Belfast, the schools are proudly sending their top dancers to represent Team Ireland in the grand finals this July 2025.
With dedication, discipline, and months of hard work, the dancers earned their spots on the world stage, leaving their coaches bursting with pride. “Their commitment and hard work has paid off,” said coaches Catherine, Danielle Hughes Quinn, Danielle Devlin, Cadhla, and Anna.
Beyond the Stage: New Opportunities and Growth

- Ulster Fusion Dance Competition – February 2025
- Disneyland Paris Dance School Audition – April 2025

Dance Awards Ireland
Building on their mission to uplift the performing arts, the team recently launched the first-ever Dance Awards in Northern Ireland. This year, the celebration continues in the Republic of Ireland with Dance Awards Ireland, taking place September 13th at the Castleknock Hotel, Dublin.
The awards will recognise outstanding achievements across all dance disciplines—including hip-hop, freestyle, Highland, and Irish dance—and honour the contributions of dancers, teachers, choreographers, parents, and more.
