As the holiday season approaches, it’s the perfect time to shine a light on local businesses making a real difference—especially those helping our planet along the way. One of those is Bee Haven Bodycare, and if we haven’t met yet, let me introduce myself—I’m Emma, also known as the ‘Bee Lady’ or ‘Miss Bee Haven.’

A Buzzing End to the Year

November is always our busiest time of year. With a surge in online orders and more customers visiting our Ballygowan shop in search of winter skincare, it’s been a whirlwind—but a good one! As the cold weather sets in, people come looking for something to soothe their skin and lift their spirits.

While our bees take a well-earned rest, I check in on the hives regularly to ensure they’re safe and secure—especially important after recent storms.

Beyond the Bees

My daily life is a mix of beekeeping and blending. I’ve handcrafted over 270 certified skincare products in our little workshop, and I love sharing snippets of that process on Instagram at @missbeehaven123. This year has brought some exciting opportunities—from launching a fresh new website to chatting with Frank Mitchell on U105 about the issue of fake honey in supermarkets. I even took part in a charity fashion shoot for Oxfam Ireland!
