Recovery Done Properly at RECOVERY ZONE

With a growing client base and a new purpose-built space at Galgorm Castle, the team at Recovery Zone explain how tailored sports massage and advanced recovery treatments are helping clients stay strong, mobile and pain free.
For many people, recovery is the part of training that gets ignored.
You push through the session, squeeze in the gym, go for the run — but rarely give your body the structured recovery it needs. That is exactly where Recovery Zone has found its niche.
Over the past two and a half years, the team have quietly built a reputation for high-quality sports massage and recovery treatments. What started as a small operation has now developed into a dedicated facility at Galgorm Castle, complete with a new recovery suite alongside their established hands-on therapies.
The clinic is led by three experienced therapists who focus on delivering effective treatment in a relaxed, supportive environment. With two male therapists and one female therapist, clients can choose who they feel most comfortable with. All three specialise in sports massage therapy, with additional skills in dry cupping, and Harry also offering dry needling.
Appointments range from 30 minutes to 90 minutes. Shorter sessions are ideal for targeting specific problem areas such as tight calves, shoulder tension or lower back discomfort. Longer sessions allow time to address multiple areas, making them popular for clients booking in for a general maintenance treatment.
Every session is tailored. Before treatment begins, the therapist will discuss training schedules, injuries or any discomfort. Pressure is adjusted throughout, ensuring the client remains comfortable and in control. Whether someone is managing a niggle or simply wants to stay on top of muscle health, the approach is always individual.
While some clients feel improvement straight away, others notice the biggest difference a day or two later as inflammation settles and mobility improves. For long-term results, the team recommend regular maintenance sessions rather than waiting for pain to flare up.
One of the standout additions to their new space is compression boot therapy. This has quickly become a favourite for runners, gym members and anyone dealing with heavy, tired legs.
The treatment involves wearing inflatable compression sleeves that run from the toes to the upper thigh. The boots inflate and deflate in cycles, applying controlled pressure that stimulates circulation and helps flush metabolic waste from the muscles. The result is improved blood flow, reduced soreness and faster recovery.
For those who prefer a gentler option than deep tissue massage, compression boots offer an effective alternative. They can also be added after a sports massage to maximise recovery during periods of intense training.
All treatments can be booked online via their website, through social media or by phone.
