I’m always on the lookout for unique beauty experiences, and The Hair Studio in Dungiven certainly delivers. Specialising in curly hair, owner Ciara has created a luxurious, spa-like salon experience that focuses on hair health, hydration, and relaxation.
From the moment I stepped into her salon, I was struck by the calming atmosphere. The space is intimate yet elegant, designed to make you feel pampered from the very start. Ciara’s passion for hair care, especially for curls, is evident in everything she does—from her expert knowledge to the innovative treatments she offers.
I loved watching all her ‘curly’ customers coming and going with their stunning curls freshly pampered. Everyone leaving the salon had an absolute mane of tumbling curls and not one bit of frizz in sight.
I was treated to a detoxifying scalp scrub, which felt both refreshing and deeply relaxing. This was followed by a steam spa mist treatment, using advanced Japanese technology to deeply hydrate and nourish the hair. Lying back in a full-body massage chair while the spa mist worked its magic was a truly indulgent experience. It wasn’t just a hair treatment—it was a full sensory escape.
Although my hair extensions meant I couldn’t fully experience her signature curly styling, I was still able to enjoy the benefits of her expert care. After a soothing head massage, a rinse, and a nourishing finish, my hair was left feeling incredibly soft, healthy, and revitalised.
For those with curls, Ciara’s expertise is unmatched. But even if you don’t have curly hair, The Hair Studio offers an incredible experience that leaves your locks looking and feeling their absolute best. Next time, when my extensions are out, I’ll definitely be back to try her signature curl-enhancing treatment!
