The futures of around 10,000 vulnerable children across Northern Ireland could be in jeopardy if long-term lifeline support isn’t secured for them.

But if all this just sounds like more faceless statistics, zoom in.

Close up you’ll find that behind every one of those 10,000 children is a story as unique and often as challenging as the kids themselves – like little Jonah Craig, a happy three-year-old from the Waterside in Derry/Londonderry.

He’s the middle child of Vanessa and Andrew Craig. However, what makes Jonah special is the fact he was born with Down’s Syndrome.

Vanessa has praised Foyle Down Syndrome Trust (FDST) for all the help and support the family has received since Jonah’s arrival: “We’re incredibly lucky to have this wonderful resource on our doorstep.”
