The Velvet Formula

Tanya Khan believes great aesthetics begin with skin health, and her Velvet Formula treatment is helping clients achieve fresher, healthier-looking skin through collagen stimulation and advanced skin rejuvenation.

There’s a genuine sparkle to Tanya Khan as she talks about The Velvet Formula.

And honestly, it’s not hard to understand why. The results she’s seeing in clinic — and on her own beautiful skin — alongside the confidence boost patients are experiencing, have sparked a whole new passion for skin health and collagen-focused treatments.

As she talks about the treatment, her enthusiasm spills over the edges of the conversation. You quickly get the sense this is the kind of thing that keeps her awake at night, constantly researching, learning and exploring new possibilities within aesthetics.

Because for Tanya, aesthetics has never simply been about looking younger.

“I don’t want to look 35,” says Tanya, who is 45 and absolutely stunning. “I want to look like a really good 45.”

That philosophy became even more important recently after Tanya underwent an upper and lower blepharoplasty procedure. During the consultation process, the surgeon commented that her skin quality was not quite where it ideally should have been.

Rather than feeling defensive, Tanya admits she initially felt a little deflated by the comment. But almost immediately, her focus shifted towards how she could improve the skin quality around her eyes — and naturally, the rest of her face and neck too!

“It really reinforced something I’d believed for years,” she says. “If the skin itself lacks hydration, collagen and elasticity, even the most advanced aesthetic procedures can only go so far.”

“Your skin is the foundation,” she adds. “If the skin quality isn’t there, everything else is limited.”

That experience pushed Tanya even further into treatments focused on improving skin quality and stimulating collagen production over time.

She began exploring ways to combine microneedling with advanced skin-rejuvenating products to improve hydration, elasticity and overall texture.

That combination eventually became what is now known in clinic as The Velvet Formula.

The treatment combines microneedling with NCTF — a skin revitalising complex containing vitamins, amino acids and hyaluronic acid — alongside Juvelook, a powerful collagen-stimulating skin biostimulator designed to improve texture, elasticity and overall skin quality over time.

What particularly fascinated Tanya was that Juvelook is currently the only biostimulator that can be safely microneedled into the skin in this way, allowing it to work alongside NCTF as part of what she describes as a uniquely powerful treatment combination.

While the pairing of NCTF and Juvelook has already been explored internationally within aesthetics, Tanya says the results she has seen from combining the two have been exceptional.

“The formula of the two together is like nothing else I’ve worked with,” she explains. “The improvements in hydration, texture and glow have been incredible.”

The name Velvet Formula came from the way patients repeatedly described how their skin felt afterwards.

“People kept saying their skin felt so soft — like velvet, almost baby soft,” Tanya laughs. “My husband and I kept coming back to that word, and eventually The Velvet Formula just felt right.”

Patients report firmer, fresher and more hydrated-looking skin, alongside visible improvements in texture and overall skin quality. Tanya is especially passionate about treatments that support the skin over time rather than creating results that feel overdone or unnatural.

“This isn’t about changing how you look,” she says. “It’s about helping people feel confident in their skin and feel refreshed.”

She believes more people are now moving away from quick fixes and instead prioritising treatments that focus on long-term skin quality and naturally healthy-looking results.

And Tanya practises exactly what she recommends and is undoubtedly the best advertisement for her own clinic. Having undergone the treatment herself, she says the improvement in her own skin has been significant.

“I’ve even stopped wearing foundation or CC cream most days,” she states. “Just tinted SPF.”

For Tanya, though, the biggest reward is confidence.

“There’s nothing wrong with being 45,” she says. “I think people just want to look well, rested and feel good in themselves.”

It’s a philosophy that clearly resonates with her clients, many of whom are now booking courses of treatment after seeing the results firsthand.

And if Tanya sounds a little obsessed with skin health these days? That’s probably because she definitely is — in the best possible way.
