The Local Women Magazine Education Awards 2025 celebrate the remarkable achievements and tireless efforts of teachers and schools across Northern Ireland. These awards will recognise educators who inspire, lead, and make a lasting impact in their classrooms and beyond.

This event will honour the unsung heroes of the education system—teachers who devote their lives to shaping young minds, often going above and beyond their call of duty.

A Word from the Education Minister

Launching the awards alongside Local Women Magazine Editor Kim Kelly, Education Minister Paul Givan said:

“The Local Women Magazine Education Awards recognise the achievements of teachers at various stages of their careers and in different roles across Northern Ireland.

It is important that we take time to recognise the exceptional work going on in our classrooms. Through my role as Education Minister, I have had the pleasure of meeting many dedicated professionals in the teaching profession, and their hard work is inspirational – they truly deserve to be recognised for their efforts.”

ELIGIBILITY:

The awards will be open to teachers in all types of schools in Northern Ireland, regardless of size, type, or location. Nominees can be submitted by fellow staff members, students, parents, or members of the wider community.

NOMINATION PROCESS:

Nominations will be open to the public, with students, parents, fellow teachers, and school staff encouraged to nominate teachers who have made a significant impact.
