Local Women Magazine Education Awards 2026

Honouring Excellence in Teaching

Behind every great student is a teacher who has nurtured and encouraged them to reach their full potential.

The Local Women Magazine Education Awards 2026 celebrate the remarkable achievements and tireless efforts of teachers and schools across Northern Ireland. These awards will recognise educators who inspire, lead, and make a lasting impact in their classrooms and beyond.

This event will honour the unsung heroes of the education system—teachers who devote their lives to shaping young minds, often going above and beyond their call of duty.

A Word from the Education Minister

Launching the awards alongside Local Women Magazine Editor Kim Kelly, Education Minister Paul Givan said:

“The Local Women Magazine Education Awards are an opportunity to celebrate the work of teachers at all stages of their careers and across all types of schools here in Northern Ireland.

“It is important that we take time to recognise the exceptional dedication shown in our classrooms every day. Through my role as Education Minister, I have had the privilege of meeting first hand many outstanding teaching professionals, and their commitment and passion are truly inspirational. They deserve every recognition for the difference they make to the lives of young people.”
